Hostas or plantain lilies have around 70 species, from China and Japan, they have been hybridized into hundreds of exciting crosses. Liberty Absolutely one of the finest hostas ever introduced and the winner of the Hosta of the Year Award for 2012.
These are hostas that make an excellent groundcover. The plants are 14" high spreading to 24" wide. The leaves are dark green with a large gold margin and are heart shaped and fairly thick. Flowers are purple blooming on 30" scapes in mid summer. The extra large margins and thick leaves make for a special hosta plant from the Tiara series.
