Midnight Flare Azalea (Rhododendron 'Midnight Flare')
Midnight flare azalea is a compact, evergreen azalea, one of many hybrid azaleas introduced by James Harris of Lawrenceville, Georgia, in the 1970s and 1980s. It bears deep tomato-red flowers with ruffled petals in late spring. The relatively large leaves assume reddish tints in fall.
