Penny Mac Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Penny Mac')
All right already! I know we are the self proclaimed Hydrangea serrata 'Nutties' in the Mid-South! But there are higher forces that are making us weak. So here we are we are getting Macrophylla's we are giving in!!!! 'Lady in Red' is probably next.
But for now you'all have to do with this favorite. Large, rounded clusters of deep blue mophead flowers boom repeatedly. Flowers throughout the warm months on new growth for plenty to cut. Lush, dark green leaves ensure good looks all season. Perfect choice for protected foundation plantings and around outdoor living areas.
Add to the shaded border for size and interest. A problem solver for homes beneath huge old shade or street trees.
