Coming in March: March 4th and 11th from 9-1
Cooper Young Community Market. March 17th and 18th from 9-5 Spring Fling Memphis Area Master Gardeners Still more in March: March 25th from 9-4 Lawn & Garden Expo Tipton County Master Gardeners One week later April 1st from 7-1 back at the Memphis Farmers Market More information always here! Usually I get very exited about Spring approaching, this year it did sneak up on me.
Almost over night all the lenten rose (hellebores) are in full swing and the daffodils are right behind. The usual front runner 'Arnold's Promise' hazel has not even opened it's blossoms and the 'Jane' magnolia, normally cautious about opening up too soon is running ahead this year. So maybe it's just time to surrender and let nature do it's thing. Since moving to the South in 1984, I have seen every possible Winter to Spring transition, so this one does not come as a surprise. Let's enjoy it! Weather looks good, see you tomorrow at the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market 9-1.
Come get your 'Valentine' this Saturday 9-1 at the Cooper Young Community Market
It's going to be spring weather and we will have all our container there. Houseplants, succulents, outdoor shade and outdoor sun. The market also published this beautiful newsletter. Gardens Oy Vey will give a presentation on the creation of our pretty miniature gardens. We put these together for all possible situations, indoor low light, outdoor shade or sun, winter hardy or tender. Our associate and student Liam Boyd will give this presentation with Wolfgang Marquardt as background help. To find out if you can attend this event please contact Paula Sweatt at 901-832-7956. 111 W Washington Ave, Covington, TN 38019
