Clematis 'AVANT-GARDE'
Clematis (KLEM-a-tis) is a member of the Ranunculaceae (buttercup) family. This genus includes approximately 250 species and numerous garden hybrids. There is great variety in flower form, color, bloom season, foliage effect and plant height.
Avant-Garde - As the name suggests, a very unusual 3", red flower with pink petaloid stamens giving the impression of a double flower and protruding trumpet. Very free flowering. Blooms July-September.
Suitable for growing over fences, pergolas, arbors and walls or scrambling through low growing plants. Best grown in a sunny, warm and sheltered position..
